Need some imput on lowering.
Im looking to lower my 91' 300E.. ive really been interested in bagging it but im not real educated on this process.. i know i can do it because ive seen it done.
Can anyone offer any information such as a website for ordering a air system.. or if you have bagged yours can i see pics? Any information on getting a car bagged would be appreciated.
Also.. if you would suggest springs..i would like some suggestions on which ones to buy and perhaps a few sources for buying them.
I basically want input on lowering my car. Sorry for sloppy post.
Thanks.

Please don't bag your car. lol
Anyways, I recommend Vogtlands to anyone. Either them or H&R. Those are the only springs I recommend to any W124 owner.
You can pick them up through TWS.

I share your enhusiasm for the air suspension, though to fit this type of system on a 300e would require significant modifications to the structure - something that I woud not be willing to compromise on a Mercedes. Not to say that it can't be done, it would just cost a fortune to do it the right way. There may be a comapny out there that makes a sytem specifically for the w124 - but I seriously doubt it.
Good luck if you do go for it.

I know of one 202 that's either bagged or on hydro's, can't remember. But I talked to the shop that did the car and Mercedes is more time consuming because of the independant rear. How much truth there is to it, I don't know, but I that's what I've been told.

I've bagged cars before but on a benz it's not that easy. The front is but the rear is a b#$@. You have a 5 link rear suspension and it's just not setup to go all the way to the floor so your going to have camber issues. Your also going to need to wheels that are not too wide because their going to hit the inner fender. Ride quality is going to go out the window because they like to be too bouncy and flex so it's gonna feel like the suspension is going to jump out. It's ok to bag cars that have a frame to work with like trucks or classic cars but on unibody cars that's another story. You gotta reinforce the chassic so handle the stress your going to put on it. By the way if you go all the way to the floor you could crack your oil pan too! I know it looks cool on other mercedes but just get springs and shocks to lower it.
