The upgrade of the W124 came 1990 in Europe. My guess would be 1991 in the USA. So even after the upgrade ~95% of major parts are identical or you can even accommodate the upgrades, which from the top of my head are:
Better seats
panelling (also fit older models) and painted bumpers
the hood and grille (but you need the suitable headlights)
Trunk lid
Better interior panels (in doors and dash, more wood)
anything else was pretty much identical

Junk yard, ebay.... But be aware that fabric oder leather colors and pattern may have changed and may not fit the seats.
