Steering Feels loose in many different ways

When i'm driving it feels like my entire steering column is loose or something, when I go over speed bumps or potholes or anything it feels like the entire column is shifting or something. In addition to that my steering wheel has a huge ammount of place (2 inches I would say). Anyone have any remedy to any of this?

To remove play from the steering wheel check the steering box. There is a screw on the underside that you can adjust for loose/tight.
