Actually, you were one of the people whose opinion I relied on when I decided to get them.

jdmfiend, I haven't gotten a call back from my contact, but I'll see if I can get you a bro-deal on them if you're interested.

They put a 1.7" drop on a w124.

So you picked up the Vogtland springs? I don't remember. I speak very highly of products I purchase for my car... Especially if I believe they are the best out there. Glad to know my opinion helped with your decision - that's what I'm here for.

Yeah, unfortunately they're just sitting there in the box because I can't afford the dampers right now.

Paint was $2500 through a buddy at a dealership, it was like 5 coats baked with metallic flake and all door/trunk jams.

$500 - Bilstein Sport Shocks
$250 - Installation Labor
$1070...
I would much rather install them myself but in all reality I lack the proper tools/equipment and the motivated friends to do so. So in reality i'll be having to pay for it all to be done..

I'm dropping mine myself next time, with help from my friend Master Stas, a Mazda mechanic. He said I just need to buy some decent springs and rent a spring compressor. Should take about a day, and def alot cheaper the a G.

And why are you spending so much on bilstein shocks? Are you trying to turn your sedan into a sportscar? I bet your just going for a sicker look with somewhat better performance. Do what I did and get some decent shocks for like $100 each that are still much more responsive then stock, but still don't lose that luxury ride.

Check out what I did on page 3 of my website!

Beyond that, everything you have done so far is "fricken sweet"... to quote peter griffen. I love that look you've gone with!

See... that's where you have it all wrong. In my eyes - it's a necessity to have the bilstein sport shocks if you're going to lower your ride or else... as I would say it ... enjoy a s h i t t y ride if you don't go that route. And... I still have my luxury ride.
