is this okay to do ?
If I am at a light and I need speed, I start off in 3rd and push it to 4th once ive got good pickup...

I only do this I like the thrust of pickup, will this damage the engine ?

youre not getting any extra speed doing that

its not ideal, but its not damaging either.
