I need some to take a picture of the license plates lights mounted on any W124 w/o top chrome strip, I believe any W124 up to 93 should be okay. Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures. OMG what am I goin' to do? This damn AMG spoiler is on the way and that chrome strip won't fit? Any ideas? Holes are exactly 4 1/2 " wide. Anyone?

 

Do you mean how can you get the chrome to fit, or what should you use instead? Show a pic of the chrome piece by itself if you can.

 

I already cut it and it's just look nasty...what do you think I should do?

 

OK, I'm going to have to think about this for a while. I see what you mean. I'll get back to you and I'm sure the other guys will have some ideas too.

 

What do you think about that? Check the title: Plate Screw LED. That's just gave me a great idea. I'll cut a piece of metal strip in the size of the o.e.m. bracket and install these instead?

Yeah, I was actually thinking along those lines (not the LEDs, but the metal plate). You could cut it to size, paint it black to match the trunk and stick those LEDs in it to light up the plate. Brilliant!

w124 fantics i have a question. As you would all now that w124 after (i think) 80's came with a plastic moulding ( f/r bumpers and on the sides) which was darker shade than the cars own colour . (like mines a gold from the top and a darker shade at the bottom).

so my question what are those dark colours called because i am getting a total respary of the car i know the top bit is gold but i want to keep the lower part of the car in a dark shade where do i find it and go to get it .

please help .

lol. The vin is the Vehicle Identification NUmber, you should be able to see it from otuside the car looking in on the bottom part of the windshield in a little window type deal.Drivers side

 

thankz i now itz funny am still getting to now my merc it iz one beast even as a lowly 220 with 150bhp. itz easier to drive than a 1.6 toyota carolla i passed my driving test on and even better than my dads honda accord type R.

Oh yeah, I am getting new tails And possibly new headlights at the same time! Look at these, same thing as shadowgriffens ebay lenses, just chromed inside instead of black. They actually look alright, minus the fact that they are meant for the facelift hood and this guy doesnt have the eyebrow spoilers
