lots of cars
The big deal is that they don't really exist anymore and those who have them know what they have and won't part with them unless the $$ is right. I know 1300 is not expensive but the point of having them is not the price, they are rare wheels for the w124. They are not mass produced wheels since back then the AMG badge was a rare sight to see, I can't say much for AMG now.

How are these generic since there are no styles or replicas like these wheels? Give me an example, and if you can i'm wrong.

Is like why would someone make a shelby 500KR replica? They could just buy a 2006 Mustang right!

Are the wheels replicated? Absolutely, You seen them on our make through out our company. I use to drive a Sebring with wheels of the same styling, and I've seen a few mitsubishi's with the style too. My buddy has actual replicas on his 300e and also the first w124 AMG kit I seen in person.

500E Signal Rot
The silver 500E looks like Scott Shell's (run.exe) before the Brabus III's.

Miami Vice had many different MB in the episodes, you can never tell what what is real and what is not, many Hammer look alikes. Not saying that my look is coping any specific vehicle I have seen, thats not my thing, as I prefer to be as original. Many times thats not possible, as there is always someone who has come before you with the same ideas. Once in a while, I come up with some original ideas though.

I also don't really like excessive chrome or black trim, I prefer a mono appearance, but not to the extreme as some of the Hammers, I also prefer a smoother, cleaner style, hence why my grill emblems are all shaved. Something you don't normally see with the Hammers (most are painted body color). I also chose black centered wheels vs. a red center. Even my red grill frame/grill was too much, so now I sport a Advantgarde grill (black) with chrome stripes.

Damn, sorry to hear about your wheel. I picked mine up from the same place you did, you could visit your local wheel outlet and see if they can call around and see if any are in the US warehouse's.

I did purchase a couple of those black steering wheel emblems, but didn't like how they looked, actually like the silver center caps, so kept them as it.

That's why there are only 6 of them. (Can't remember if that's NAm or world.)

That and the fact that they were deemed to be not street legal in the US.

Hence the 500E: for 1/2 the price you could have a much more refined (and street-legal)car with similar performance and factory parts and warranty support.

Very few people. And people who can afford those kinds of cars might not necessarily want others to know about it or might not be interested in mixing it up with the rest of us.

think about it: one of the first McLaren SLRs in western Canada was bought by a memeber of the Washington family - the family that owns Seaspan, the trans-oceanic shipping company. He paid almost 3/4 Mil for the car. Do you REALLY think he'd have the time to chat it up with us here on MBWorld?

The Sultan of Brunei is a HUGE MB fan. Stuttgart will (and does) custom make pretty much anything he wants. You're not likely to find him in any of the forums. And even if he is on the forums, it's highly unlikely that he'd make it known who he is.
