e200

im a owner of a 1991 200E from athens, Greece. Well my dad got a new E-class so i got it. Its in a excellent condition. Though underpowered, i want to fix it up a little bit. It's black/gray with everything stock. I have fully serviced it, changed some stuff like the coolant tank, front system ( steering etc ). I just put tints yesterday and i have plans for that car.

what i want to do is change a lot of stuff. first thing i wanna do is change the breaks. I have thought of buying brakes from a other car, such as a 300E and installing them on my car. Will i need to change my brake wires and brake pump?
any ideas on putting better brakes? I dont want spend a fortune on them, if i did i would go straight for brembo :P.

I will also change my suspension, put rims and put other stuff like smoked lights ( front - back ) Chrome S-class grill etc. making my car more powerful is out of the question right now.

i also looked for some bumper kits, but i didnt find any i liked. the reason is the gray on the lower part of the car wont look good with a complete black front bumper imo.

brakes are a top priority and i want to change them this month hopefully.
thx for the feedback,

Fix your brakes so they work as intended by MB. Stay stock unless you want to sink BIG bucks. (NOT WORTH IT)

regarding the brakes i would like to hear any opinions on putting brakes of a w124 300E on my w124 200E. Its mercedes brakes, but much better than the ones the car currently has. it that feasable? currently, they are simple disc brakes and get overheated easily.

The kevalters are larger on the 300E, thats why they stop faster and with less heat. One problem is that you'd have to file down the inside lip of your rims to make the larger 300e kevalt fit your 200.

This is both expensive and time consuming work, most of us here have done this at one time or another and simply do not recommend the upgrade.

Dude, they overheat not because they're oem's 200E or 300E brakes but your heavy foot work my friend....in conditions of (yeah, let me check)todays local(Athens, Greece) weather :

Tomorrow Low: 73° High: 91° SUNNY
