Exclamation Shifter Loose!

It began around two days ago when I had my car towed home because I got a flat and my spare wasnt with me (yeah, I know that's pretty stupid but my shocks suck right now). Whenever I move the shifter from park to drive or any other gear, it seems that it somehow got a little loose. This especially happens whe I go from drive to reverse. When I place it in reverse, nothing really happens; not until I place the shifter between reverse and park, thats when I feel it shift in reverse.

Anyone ever had a similar problem? Is there some shifter bearing.gasket thats loose that maybe causing this problem? Any help would be greatful. I am hoping it is not my tranny, otherwise......

You need shifter bushings. Two rubber bushings that the shift rod go through.
parts about 5.00 labor about 1.0 hour.

Yup - had the same problem with my car.

Replaced the shifting bushings and it was solid like a rock again.

So this job can be a DIY? Cool...Thanks for the input guys...one last thing, for those of you who did it themselves, where did you get these shifting bushings and what is the exact part name?
