Yet another problem with my trusty old W124

Hey, it's me again,
I have no idea what is causing this but here's my problem. From a standstill and gaining momentum, on a light throttle, the car would judder as if it is running on some slightly uneven roads.. I don't think it affects the power delivery as the car has the power but it judders.. This also seems to go away when you give it more throttle.. And the judder only lasts for, well, maybe 2secs.. Most noticeable when the car is cold..

I've recently had my AT tranny serviced but have not touched the differential. I've also noticed that my spark plug leads had always been installed wrongly (i.e. plug lead supposed to be for cylinder 2 was plugged in to cylinder 3 and vice versa).. I've put it right now and the car is a lot more fuel economical.. I have not disconnected the battery to reset the onboard computer though.. Could this have anything to do with it?

Any ideas are grately appreciated,
Jeff

This only happens when the car is just moving from a standstill and does not (or it does but I can't feel it) at higher RPMs or speeds..

I do have new tires but AFAIK they should be weighted and aligned properly..

Shudder

It might be torque converter shudder. I've experienced the same symptoms from my 96 thunderbird at roughly 190k and with my buddy's jeep at 150k. However, I would check alignment first. Does the steering wheel shimmy then it happens?
