idle issues

I have an 89 300ce that Ive done the plumber valve mod to.I also leaned the mixture to get rid of this hesitation i was get from a full stop....I cured the hesitation but now I seem to be getting a rough idle at 600rpms.I opened the valve which raised the rpms to about 850 900rpms now it runs good...Im just not sure if this high idle is rough on the engine...It doest idle high in drive just in park when I shift into drive the idle drops to 650rpm

may not be a problem just wanted to check with the gurus...
