Cost for 90,000 mile service

What are people paying for the 90,000 mile service? And are you replacing the wiring harness at this time?

I assume you're not a do-it-yourselfer. A 93 model 300CE should definitely have it's engine wiring harness inspected for disintegrating insulation. You can do it yourself by removing the sheath from a portion of the wiring in some innocuous location and inspect the individual wire insulation. If you find you have the dreaded problem, definitely have the engine wiring harness replaced. Even if the car is running fine, it should be replaced to preclude any problems in the future. It's just a matter of when. This money will not be wasted.

I'm not sure what a 90K service costs. I do everything myself. Since your car is out of warranty, you will do best by finding an independent mechanic who specializes in MB do this work, rather than the expensive dealership.
