Coolant indicator light

Guys,

My coolant indicator light comes on and stays on - yet my coolant level is fine. I called the dealer and they sid $38.75 for the piece that connects to the reservoir, they sell them all the time as they get corroded.

Has anyone had this happen and did this piece fix the issue?

try cleaning the electrical connections as they can get very corroded around water and such

The coolant level sensor is part # 124 540 02 44. You can get it for less than $20 here.

I had the same problem

The little clip that attaches to the coolant sensor corroded out. I bought a new coolant sensor that sits inside the tank, but couldn't find the clip part. I tried to rebuild it with some pieces I cut out of a coke can but it didn't work so I just unhooked it. What is the part number for the clip?
