I have a 1990 300d that is leaving two small puddles of water if I wipe it up it does not smell like coolant.
One spot is under the drivers of car and the other is under the transmission of the car. The car is not over heating and has no coolant loss is it possile that some of this is from the AC? or rain water that might have gotten trapped and since the garage floor is on a slight angle it spills out that way? I had a 1990 300 e that did the same thing!
Thanks
Rob

check your water outlets, they might be clogged, the rain that goes into the mesh under the wiper doesn't go through the tubes cause they are clogged and the water spills to the sides exiting from other outlets that are located where the engine finishes and the trans begins, the same thing happens when the tubes located in the wells of the battery and fuse box are clogged, the water will exit at the same spot and some can even find it's way inside your car, check under the floor mats!

There's other tube on the battery's side!

one way to tell if it's condensation from the AC is to drive around for a while without the AC on, then park it. Check for the puddles, if you see none, then it was your AC.
