Cool 1990 300te

I just purchased a 300TE Wagon and wanted to lower it and noticed that it had a self-leveling system in the rear.. can this be replaced with regular shocks.. if not is there anything that I should be aware of before lowering the suspension with the self-leveling.. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys..

Check out this guys wagon. Don't look too hard because you will want to spend lots of money to get one just like it.....He told me he spent 8000 US on an almost new C36 engine/transmission/computer/wiring.....a deal, actually. Motor probably almost drops right in since it is the same block as the later twin cam TE models. I like the single cammers due to less expensive repair costs long term but, for 277 ponies and without a hugely expensive aluminum V8 stuffed under the hood.......

I think he did the rear suspension. I know the car is lowered and he has upgraded to 500E calipers and rotors (bolt on, not much more than standard parts cost wise...I would put my money here before replacing the rear suspension and would not touch the rear, or front, until it is worn out and requires attention).

You should be able to figure out his home page from the URL and send him a note.
