For those of you with headlight wiper assembly, are you aware?
Just browsing on the net and found this:

NHTSA Recall Number: 96V175000
Manufacturer Recall Number: 96-1113
Component Affected: LIGHTING:HEAD LIGHT WIPER SYSTEM
Number of Vehicles Affected: 28874
Defect: IF ONE OF THE HEADLAMP WIPER ARMS BECOMES MISALIGNED, THE WIPER BALDE CAN LODGE IN THE GROOVE UNDER THE HEADLAMP. IF THE WASHERS ARE ACTIVATED WITH THE WIPER BLADE IN THE MISALIGNED AND LODGED POSITION, THE WASHER PUMP WILL RUN CONTINUOUSLY EXPELLING ALL AVAILABLE FLUID.
Consequences: PUMP OPERATION IN THE ABSENCE OF FLUID CAN CAUSE THE PUMP TO OVERHEAT AND CAUSE A VEHICLE FIRE!
Corrective Action: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE HEADLAMP WASHER PUMP ON THESE VEHICLES.

I maybe the only one who likes the DOT Wiper look... probably because I grew up with W124's and W126's and that's just where my love for Mercedes came from!

But anyway, when I first got my car and I realized that there were wipers on other models, I thought to myself, well- that's one thing I won't have to do (shave them). I used to be into VWs, and those guys shave everything (on their cars), right down to the engine bay. I was pretty surprised to see that MB fans weren't shaving those wipers.
One day, when I re-spray my car, I'm going to shave the antenna and the rear emblems (except the star)
