Why do so many people hate chrome...Its only cool on the Harleys nowodays.

A nice wheel is a nice wheel chromed or not.I prefer the polished/brushed look myself.But if a nice set of chromies came my way id slap those puppies on my car in a second...those qualify as nice chromies.

Yeah, I actually tried to check out that link, thinking it would be funny. Thanks for a dose of feeling like a dumbass!

When it comes to chrome, I think that it belongs on certain cars - just like wire spoke wheels, BBS mesh, three spoke wheels, etc. I just don't think they belong on a w124. They clash with the car's personality. Certain cars look stupid (the bad kind of stupid, yo) with certain wheels.

It's the same reason that you don't wear dress shoes with shorts. Dress shoes aren't bad, shorts aren't bad, but together - it's just wrong.

Chrome is for Caddies, wire spokes are for lowriders. There's nothing wrong with the cars or the wheels. Mix them up and the results just kinda suck.
