suspension help

i think my suspension might be shot. is there anyway to tell if its had just about enough? the car didnt isnt lower than stock, but its easy to push the car a lot lower and from inside it feels like im driving an suv now, as well as hitting bumps i heard a loud groan from all four wheels(i first thought it was the bounce of leaving my trunk open, it wasnt) should i get the springs and everything at the same time...go oem or aftermarket? prices etc. thanks, help is appreciated as usual.

go for aftermarket - it doesn't cost much more than OE anyway. plan on spending $400-$700 depending on quality. The big difference will be in the dampers you go with.

if your suspension is still all original, then it's probably all shot by now - springs, dampers, and bushings.

Springs cost $175-$250. Most people here use Vogtland, Intrax, or H&R. I'd guess that Vogtland is the most popular.

As for dampers, Bilstein Sport is by far the best way to go. They'll cost you about $500+tax. If you need to go cheaper, KYB will run about $300 and you'll probably still be happy with them.

Bushings come in two flavors: Rubber (OEM) or polyurethane (performance). Rubber bushings can be found all over eBay. They'll probably cost you about $75 or so to do all of them. Urethane bushings are "better" because they are much stiffer than rubber. They will tighten up your suspension like crazy. Kits cost about $150, and you need to get the "non-squeeking" kind or they'll bug the **** out of you.

Those are the KYB that I was talking about. Good "bang for the buck" product, especially at $200.
