Some people just don't want to deal with cars that are over 10 years old... Benz or no Benz.

true, but there are some of us that have just discovered the W124 and it's merits, see the car for what it is, and are happy to be here!

Ive been thinking about it also,Not a good car for me.I like everything in good working order.I already spent a grip on the car without even doing anything major.Shes running pretty good now....But Im always thinking of that knock out blow that could happen at anytime though.

I almost feel like im stuck in her now because of all the money.I would hate sell now for someone else to reap all the benefits of my wallet. But now is a good time to sell while she runnin decent.

The way I see it, there is one reason to buy a W124. Quality! It has a feel on the road that no other car has. As a back yard mechanic and owner of over 50 cars in my lifetime, I have worked on everything from Fiat (Fix It Again, Tony) to Volvo, and all the domestics as well. I can say with confidence that the W124 is built better, engineered better, and is more solid than any other car I know of. Some people apparently don't care about quality anymore. Almost all of the new "luxury" cars I have seen are loaded to the sky with electronics and entertainment crap but are built like everything else underneath. The only exeption I am aware of at this time is BMW. I personally would rather drive a car that is an engineering masterpiece but has vinyl seats and crank windows than a Cadillac that is loaded with stuff but built like a Chevy. The E-class might not impress bystanders but it impresses the hell out of me ever time I touch it or even just look under the hood.

it's true. The quality on these vehicles is basically unmatched. Once you modernize the basic driving components such as suspension, you can drive them forever. You can't say that about too many other car manufacturers or models of car.

Good luck to those selling theirs.
