Need 5 speed swap advice this weekend!!!

What would be a better box to put behind my M104..... I have a choice between a 190 16V Getrag & a 5 speed out of a 300E. I know both will physically work; it's more of a question of strength, design quality & ratios.
What do you guys think?

No, none. Now I know of a 300E running a box out of a 2.3 8V 190! I've been advised that the Getrag wouldn't be the best choice because of the ratios being set up for the 16V eng which makes its power in a different rpm range than the M104.
I noticed you have a 328............. I'm a tech @ a Ferrari/Lambo shop.

If the getrag wouldnt be a match to the m104 then why do I have one in my car stock from the factory? JJ

You probably have different ratios in yours as compared to what I'm talking about.... a 2.3-16V 190E Getrag which is what is available to me. I just don't know & that's why I'm asking questions.
All of these boxes will physically bolt up & work on the M104.

If you go to the 190rev forum, there are a lot of guys who are doing a 104 with a 16v getrag transmission swap.
