Out Of Retirement/ Classic Duo
So you guys lit a fire underneath my a$$ to take the old girl out of retirement. She's been sitting underneath a car cover un-touched for 2 years. I hooked her up to the old battery charger 2day and she started right up, go Optima Blue Top, it did exactly what it's supposed to do
Sitting unwashed & out in the elements for 2 years I was expecting alot more damage then I found. Besides a rat's nest in my engine bay and some chipped paint off the back, she was in decent shape. I'll just repaint the rear when I get the new body kit painted & installed. I finally got around to installing the updated interior suede A, B, & C pillars, suede sunroof liner and custom carbon fiber **** knob and trim. Not vinyl overlay boys the real deal here all wood trim converted to C/F. Put on the custom gear shift face & frame all show chromed. There's still a bunch off goodies I have up my sleeve, custom 2 tone suede door panels & center console & full audio/video system. Here's some pics of my other project that I've been working on ZX7 dropped & stretched, hot cams, adjustable cam sprockets 1mm Wiseco overbore kit, full Muzzy exhaust & headers, Muzzy Ignition advancer, Jetcoated headers & exhaust piping, custom stiched leather seats, custom MB color matched paint, smoothed signal holes, 520 chain conversion, show chrome rims, brake calipers, foot pegs & brackets, solo seat, steel braided lines, Galfer front & rear wavey rotors. Not yet installed powdercoated brackets & rear sprocket , rear video camera & NOS. To me these two are the classic duo, I plan on showing both together once completed.

I like the car, nice job...But I dont like stretched bikes.I ride too I have my bike set up for turns.Dan Kyle forks, penske shock, scotts, gilles rearsets, harris exhaust & navi so I get lost on those curvy county roads...You took all the fun out of that bike... imo

Bjay* sounds like you have a hot set-up. You have to see it this way, some bikes are geared for handling etc mine is geared for straight -aways. You're trying to compare to unlike things a drag bike vs street bike. I beg to differ about taking the excitment out of riding, trying holding on to a drag bike at 1/4 mile with NOS, it'll leave you grinning from ear to ear just as much as if you were carving canyon roads.
At the same token these are strictly for SHOW, they will rarely be driven or rode. My next project will be a show and go custom chopper, Ducati, Porsche , or classic SL I haven't made up my mind yet.
But thank you for your input just the same

*By the way how do you like the Scott's dampner? I have a Sprint dampner but I haven't installed it yet.

Man, thank God you didn't spill. I've ridden for over 15 years and I've never encountered a tank slap, knock on wood I heard it can be a nerve racking situation. I spilled plenty of other times but that was just due to my stupidity. Let's use up all the money on chroming and not for new tires
hahaha to be young and reckless.
I've always rode Gixxers but always lusted after the 91 - 92 ZX7's. Call it a boyhood fantasy fullfilled a fixed up Eclass and ZX7. If you had any of these when I was growing up you were king

Benard, brotha!
Jetcoating everything is going to look nice.
I'd do the same with my car but it's just so pricey.
car is looking good man. Glad to see you're finally coming back into the scene.
I should hit up your thai restaurant soon.

I know you have an Apex strut bar but I'd like to know where you got it from or is it really for another application that happened to fit or was retrofitted to work with you 260E.

Where do you get the carbon fiber trim? Looks good bro. On the suede - is it a matter of buying a bolt of teh stuff and carefully stretching and gluing on?
Looks real good. Your inspiring me to get off my *** and start on mine.
