Question about Fuel Filter
Hi guys:
My car is right now in the mechanic and I was wondering if changing the fuel filter would carry any advantages for my car, or by the other way if its something useless. I heard it helps for better idling and better combustion.
What do you guys think? Does it make any difference to change my fuel filter??

Payson, it's a hit or miss deal. I've read advice that cites both extremes. 1) Replace every 30K to keep injectors clean and maintain top end performance. 2) They last a long time and should only be changed when it is suspected that contaminants were introduced into the fuel supply or when top end performance is diminished from a clogged fuel filter. I suppose the truth is somewhere in between.
I go the 30K route out of habit. Every time I check the old filter by blowing through it, I notice a lot of resistance.
