Very Slow Mercedes
If I needed to hide something I would build a stepped transmission tunnel, make a opening inside the center console glove box with a steel door opened by remote control, without any handles etc.....But I have been told if you want to carry something illegal it is best to carry it in a 2 year old white Toyota camry that is not rented, or use the public transportation system while wearing a security guard outfit.

Do you have a sunroof. If you do, open it, when I had a BMW, the sunroof, had an opening. I used to move product using that. it doesnt move around. Its a pretty good place.

The floor matting drivers side includes a large foam wedge to fill the cavity under your feet. You could always trim a bit of that.
Dogs will find whatever your hiding though.

i got an idea. take one of your headrests to an upholstery place and have them set it up so it has a small opening in the side with velcro. then dig out a little bit of cushion and whammy, you've got a nice place to put a little nug jug. no one would thinking of looking in there.

Guys, the problem is that you're all thinking of places inside the car and you haven't rid yourself of the "aroma" problem. This solution requires you to have your "product" flattened to be as thin as possible. Affix it somewhere inside the air intake (perferably air cleaner housing). It will be kept cool because of the air rushing over it (no need to worry about engine heat), and any aroma gets sucked into the cylinders and detonated. Trust me, you can cross some very secure borders this way...
