Running out of time to make it down to Evosport, I found place in Torrance that does dyno testing
121 hp,117 ft lbs of torque at the wheels, not too bad a guess, a bit higher than i expected
But for sure the lowest powered E class cabriolet in existence...I definately have that covered.

89 300TE, and 68 280sel
that's nearly like a 240D
well maybe not that bad. Those are scary, especially when they have an auto box behind them.
I have seen you posting about 2.3L SC blocks for their ruggedness. Why not just go SC instead of Turbo?
I guess all of the wicked fast jap cars are all turbos...

Turbo is easier to get what i want out of the 2.2 or perhaps 2.3...SC won't get me even near 300hp no matter what i do, but even with the stock 2.2 block running 9lbs with fuel and ignition upgrades 300Hp is easy, 450 hp needs tougher internals, my bro in law tells me the 2.3 Sc has forged internals and bigger valves in the head than the 2.2...he said for sure the 2.3 Sc block can live at 14 lbs boost, which puts me at over 300 whp and I am happy for a minute at least......
and the numbers are even worse when you realize it has to move about 3600+ lbs car....without a skinny driver, but it sure feels like it gets to 60 mph before the 10.5 secs published by the factory

What's the published horsepower?
What make of Dyno ( Mustang Dyno numbers typically lower/conservative)?
Curious to see your drive train loss.
I dyno'd 144HP against 177HP (published) on my 1988 M103 with 63K miles, or a drive train loss of about 20% +/- on a Mustang Dyno.
Also had some vacuum leaks and exhaust gasket leaks at the time of the pre turbo install base line.

Not familiar with your engine.

Very Slow Mercedes
Mercedes Gives 155 hp for this engine, don't remember the torque, I have a few minor mods but nothing that would raise horsepower or torque, mostly just make the power I have more efficient....engine running sound no mechanical problems, except bad clutch fan which we discovered on the dyno, Not sure what type of dyno but from the high Hp cars waiting in line It likley is a good dyno (all wheel drive dyno)
I want to have it plumbed and ready at Stage 1 boost before May 11 for the gathering.....

By your and ChrisDPham's response, it looks like drive train loss in the W124 with automatic transmission is around +/- 20%.
I would be more then happy if my turbo install gives me an additional 100HP on the dyno
