Passenger seat adjustment problems..
Hey everyone! Its been awhile since i been here. I have a problem with my passender seat. It moves back and forth but it wont move up an down. So the seat is stuck on the high position. How can i take the motor out?

My E320 wagon had a similar situation on the driver’s side when I acquired it. The seat was stuck on full high and full back positions as well as being tilted completely forward.
I removed the seat and checked all the cables, which turned out to be fine. I did not see a limit switch on my seat anywhere except on the gear driven seat back motor (this motor had a bent shaft…but that’s another story).
Anywhoo…after a generous application of lubricant to all tracks/pivot points etc, the seat began to move freely using a cordless drill applied directly onto motor end of the cable.
Only moved an inch or so at first, but after working it back and forth…eventually it could be run the full height/length and back, without binding.
After reinstalling the cables into the motors and reinstalling the seat, all has been well with the up/down, fore/aft adjustments for the past few months.
Now, if I can just find a used gear drive seat back motor, I could have more than the one position I chose for the seat back upon reassembly. =)
Good Luck,

Ok so i checked out the seat today and this is what i hear. I moved the seat to the up and down position and i hear the motor working... but the seat is not. So i need to free the seats!!? And if do then how?
