New and ready to Search
this is my first post and i am here to help my dad. He is looking to lower his 94 e320 and wants to get some input on a good kit to go with. Hes not looking to slam it but give it a nice clean look. Hes got some nice 2 piece 18" wheels on there and wants to make things work. Hes also intrested in getting a new exhaust since the new one seems to to rattling. Any pics with lowering kits you guys are running would definately be a help to give him an idea so he knows what hes getting into.
Thanks

go through the gallery thread, there are lots of pics of people's cars lowered with different options, and also use the search function, it helps a lot. there are about 3 different lowering springs popular on the forum, and for the most part you will see that bilstein sport dampers are the preferred choice. vogtland springs usually give the lowest drop, but i think h&r are also a very popular choice.
also, you better put up some pictures of the car asap...
Here is a suspension thread from another site. There are all kinds of models, not just W124, but I think you will start to get an idea of what folks are typically selecting for the brands of springs and shocks and whatever.
Just note that whatever you choose, it may take some trial and error to get the set-up just right on any specific vehicle. You might get lucky and get it right the first time, but you may also have to go back under the car to switch pads or add camber adjustment or who knows what.
If I had to start from scratch, I think I would try:
H&R springs
Bilstein Sport shocks
Sportline swaybars or maybe “Sportline Plus” (Limo front & E500 rear)
K-Mac eccentric rear bushings
Plan to sort out spring pads (1-bump to 4-bump) to get a symmetrical drop.
17” x 7.5” ET42 with 225/45/17
I love my set-up now, except I still need the swaybars. It is not the above set-up, but I think I would try the above if I were a noob.
On my 1995 E320, I currently have:
Eibach springs
Blistein HD shocks
Stock swaybars “STILL!”
K-MAC eccentric rear bushings
1-bump front pads & 3-bump rear pads
16” x 7.5” ET37 with 205/55/16
