Speedo and ODO both quit at drive thru - Cable?

So I was at the DQ drivethru today, pulled out and noticed a cop behind me, looked down to check my speed and realized my speedo was not working. Neither is the odometer. The needle was bouncing around a lot at lower speeds which makes me think it is probably the cable. Has anyone else had this issue?

Also, where is a good spot to order a cable, anywhere besides the stealerships?

my needle bounces a lot at lower speeds currently...id say up till 25 or 30 mph, i just ignore it and think of it as my benzo not being happy at low speeds

I'm told the bouncy needle is caused by pulling out the instrument cluster without disconnecting the cable. It apparently puts a kink in the cable. Mine does it, too. Most likely your cable has gone out completely. Here's one link to a new cable.
