1994 E420 pricing
Hey all,
1994 E420 with 136000 miles, great shape in and out, dealership is asking $7500 for it. Is this too much or is this something that I should go for. What should I be looking/checking/paying attention to when I go see it tomorrow? I know all the specs and all that stuff, but if anything specific let me know. Thanks.

Badly overpriced. The KBB for Excellent, from a dealer, is $4,975. That E420 also has replica AMG wheels.
Watchlist
- Smooth idle?
- AC strong & cold?
- Wiring Harness replaced?
- Condition of Multilink suspension? Is the steering tight? Does the wind punt it around?
- Has the Timing Chain been replaced (unlikey) ?
- Corrosion to the exhaust system?
Check for repairs made to the car be it bodywork or aftermarket glass. Points should be deducted for incomplete tool kits or a missing spare. Is the seat leather cracking or worn. Has the clear coat on the Burl Walnut cracked. Do the electrics work (telescoping wheel, windows, headrests, mirrors, seat adjustments.)

It all depends on where you live. That car would go quickly for $8500-$9000 where I live. They are very rare and sought after. Most cars that old are beat-up rust buckets here. I paid almost that much for my E320, and it is only average, at best, with 157,00 miles (then). Now, in Florida I think you can buy them all day long for $4000. But look what you have to pay for a house!
