A pillar removal

I'm finally going to remove my A pillar to install my tweeters, is there alot I gotta be cautious about? Or should I just not mess with it? Thanx!

I just cut a hole in the triangular piece that covers the back of the side mirrors. And if your oign that becafe of the clips they break easily very easily.

^that of course only works if you have electronic mirrors on both sides (my 1990 coupe doesn't).

So is this piece too brittle to mount tweeters in?

I don't think so.

But what are you planning on doing exactly? Just screwing the tweeters into the panel, or fiberglassing/molding it in?

Well I don't have door speakers and my components I went on and put in the back, but now I jealous cause the clearity in the rear is better when I never even have people back there. So I have the tweeters sitting flush in the c pillars and would like to move them to the front pillars and sit flush there so I will be using a hole saw. and the holes in the rear now, I'll probly get amg badges or hood emblems to fill those spots.

I got so much going on at once, I got a front spoiler on order, debating on my suspension setup, moving, and starting to tear down the engine in my explorer for performance heads and a supercharger setup. Also just got a husky puppy. I just got my carat d. truck spoiler installed and painted.... and still I'm not the one to learn.

I haven't removed my A pillars before, but I would be surprised if there is enough room for you to simply cut a hole and stick the tweeters in there. Of course you'll figure that out for sure when you remove the trim. But I would be very surprised if they are too brittle or weak to hold a tweeter in that way.
