The switch S65 is fitted to the side of the transmission and is a hydraulic pressure switch in the hydraulic working circuit of brake band B1.

If pressure gets too high, the switch is tripped and the appropriate signal is fed to the ECU which then puts engine into limp home-mode to reduce power and preserve gearbox.

Thanks, David! When it trips, does it reset automatically or do I have to stop and restart the engine? I'm still wondering why my engine sometimes cuts out or surges for a split second immediately following a hard shift, and then resumes normal running.
