98 E320 (Engine turning over but won't fire)

Good Evening,

I have a 98 E320 with 203,000 miles on it. Recently, the car starting turning over but not firing. If I wait a while and go back it will start. This has happened like 5 times already. Can anyone tell me what this might be? strange to say the least. PLEASE HELP1

Welcome!

You're in the wrong section. You want the W210 E Class forum. The '98 had a V6 and everything else is different also. Still a great car, though, but not when it won't start.

If it were a W124 I'd say check the OVP relay behind the battery, but I think they fixed that by late '95. You are using premium fuel, right? Ethanol evaporates at a lower temp and tends to vapor lock.

Post this on the other section and see what you get.

Do a search for CPS crankshaft position sensor.
