so i was driving today and figured i need a tire rotation, no big deal. i go to get gas, realize my gas tank is locked, go to the trunk, unlock it fill it. i got 16 mpg mix of highway/city, thats a bit disappointing. i go to reset the odometer and it stops at 900 miles and then stops responding the the button. i think then the odometer stopped reading as well. i say screw it and head home....fuel gauge completely dead and reading empty with no sporadic movement towards full. plus i kept losing traction on the way home cause of a short rainstorm that had just ended. i attribute the loss of traction to the rainstorm and need for a rotation, so thats my own fault. but the rest, is beginning to bother me. at this point im fulling expecting the tranny to go out tomorrow and to blow the engine(lets hope to god it doesnt happen) anyway, anyone know if the merc has an interrnal computer that holds the mileage, so i can get a new odometer? and what about the fuel gauge? thanks guys

thread hijack: (sorry) smokie, could you post some pics of your car in the picture sectiion? i'm really curious to see it and i don't believe i ever have. have you done any interior modifications/customization?
