M119 timing trouble

M119 timing trouble
Hello all, I have been working on my car the past couple days and replaced the 4 upper timing chain guides, the chain tensioner, caps and rotors, and various gaskets and hoses. My guides were badly worn and in fact the driver's side guide wasn't present at all--I found it when I pulled the oil pan. Definetly a good time to do the repair. Anyways, when I put the car back together and fired it up, there is now a new problem. The car is idling VERY rough, and is undriveable in this condition. Increasing RPM will keep from stalling, but will not improve the rough running. Now for my question--What could this be? I am almost positive I kept everything in correct time--I was very cautious and thorough about making sure not to jump a tooth, and I really doubt that I did. That said, is there anything else that could lead to these symptoms? I was curious about the intake cam adjuster and it's role in the car's idle--could one of the cams be stuck in the advanced postion and be causing these symptoms? I hope there is a real M119 whiz out there! Thanks in advance
