I just picked up E220

Hi everyone, on Friday i picked up e220 Special edition 1994 with 75 000km, i am second owner. Merc is in very good condition. Soon i will be posting pics.
Previously i had 230e,300ce but they all were 200 000+km. I just love w124s.
From now on you will see me a lot at this forum.

I had it for about 2 days and i have noticed there is about 1cm free movement in steering wheel (steering direction). Anyone had this issues can it be fixed.

On weekend i also did complete service, i've changed transmission oil as well, but i am not sure what transmission oil level should be? On 230e and 300ce on dipstick i had min and max now with this one there are markings like 30,F,90 on the other side other set of numbers i am totally confused with this. Any one know anything about this?

And why all w124 have oil leaks i also noticed that my transmission is oily at rear end where driveshaft is.

Thanx ppl!

Very Slow Mercedes
great car for I4 turbo...can handle 7-12lbs on stock block/head with proper turbo set up...I have a E220 Cabriolet, the steering box is probably due for rebuild or outright replacement, possibly yours may be adjustable mine is not...check tie rods/center link for excessive play...Good luck with the new toy..
