Unhappy ASR... Accelleration Slip Control

Just would like to know if the 92 300E has a ASR and where it might be located on the vehicle... is it more than one pc... Please let me know.

Do you have a snow chain button on the center dash console? Theres also a light at the top and center of the instrument console, a yellow hazard triangle, which illuminates when its activated.

Are you looking to remove this on the car you're parting out? If so, that may be VERY difficult as this is an integrated system with many 'pieces'....

Its better to take the ASR 'offline' by un-plugging one of the speed sensors in engine bay instead of trying to 'remove' it, which, as said, is not easy.

Taking ASR offline like that takes the cruise control with it...if that matters....but the feature is worth saving and it does work well when needed (IMO). Saved me many times in the 500E.

The proper way to disable ASR is listed on my web site. Scroll down to the ASR defeat section. A similar procedure should apply for the 300e as well.
