Just an update on the widebody conversion - for whoever is interested...

You can see more of this conversion on the benzworld w124 forum

Thank you Zed. To be honest, I purchased the wheels & then decided to make the body fit them... Always loved the Carlsson 2/6 wheels & I can't sat that I've seen too many wheels that look as good on the w124 (each to their own, obviously).

You are now to be called "old-man shadow" from this point forward

This is a very tasteful widebody, not like those ferarri-finned widebody kits seen from the 80's.

Range Rover Classic
If your thinking of converting you'd also need the fender arches and the front spoiler.

I managed to get a good deal on mine, but expect to pay in the region of $700 per side. The good thing is that they are readily available.

Not sure about the 500e front bumper - didn't look for one because we're modding the AMG gen II for mine.

The cladding peices are another significant cost - mine are on the way, but I don't know how much I'm paying for them yet...

Right, so in other words...I'm not getting 500E goods I would be totally against this conversion, BUT it is on a Coupe. If it was a Sedan, I would see no point. I can't wait to see the end product.

Next up, Chappy's Wagon + modified 500E fenders = THE SEX!
