So much for my 10k renovation!!! :D
Driving around yesterday looking for someone to do a smog to my car. Why is it that I first notice the A/C stopped working? Then ALL the error lights in my instrument cluster turned on. No power steering, no ABS, no nothing (that includes no water pump, air pump, you guys know). Park, open the hood, temp is almost at red, of course the car is already off. The coolant resevoir just blew out all the coolant! Serpentine belt just blew! Whoopee! Shredded in pieces never to be used again. I sit there waiting for the tow truck to come, finally it comes after a short while, we tow it to my mechanic. Turn it on for a couple seconds to move it really quick (stupid idea, *smacks forehead*), transmission blew out all it's fluid! And all this just in time for those new headlights I bought on eBay!
-sigh-
It really sucks sleeping and knowing my baby isn't in the garage safe and sound

Thanks, . I'm guessing the belt was just old? Never really looked into it *smacks forehead again grr*. What sucks is that by just doing a $30 job I could of saved the hundreds I'm going to have to pay now >_<!
But ya' know what. I never really thought about it but I really miss my W124 Like alot.... *sigh*

So sorry to hear that--I know the anxiety of knowing your car is somewhere other than home.
I went through the exact same thing with my car a couple months ago--actually right after the alternator went out. I had just gotten it replaced, and literally 5 MINUTES up the road, everything you described happened (all dash warning lights on [no alternator], coolant temp rising to red [no water pump], power steering gone [no power steering pump], no A/C (my car's out of freon anyway).
Don't know what's up with all the transmission fluid blowing out, but rest assured that besides that, your car will be back to normal as soon as you get that serpentine belt replaced. Like a lot of other stuff, when its time is up, its time is up...

Update!
Good news! Got a call from my mechanic today while at work, . He replaced the driver's side cooling line for the tranny, filled it up with tran. fluid, replaced the serpentine belt and replace the belt tensioner (what caused everything). Waiting for another call to pick up the car, should be soon! $350, all good, I expected it to be much worse! So happeh happeh happeh! He said he had to try out the car with those things replaced and see if anything else is wrong, hopefully it's all good . Three days without her and it feels like three years!

LOL, oh and it also includes filling up the tranny with trans. fluid. He's really great price wise and does a great job. First fix he ever did for me was my speedometer cable. I had the cable already, he charged me $20 to install it. My friend is getting his transmission pulled out and putting a brand new one in for $1,250. (that's back to normal now is it?) I also want to get new transmission mounts installed by him ($80).
