newb with alotta ac ques
i bought a 86 300e the car is amazing i loev it to death only problems is the tranny hangs ups from 1st for like 2 seconds and the a.c doesnt work.
i thought who cars my last 3 cars havent had a.c but none had leather seats
everytime it rains i rather sit in a oven.
Anyway my questions r these.
the fan works but compressor doesnt work the fuse seems to work but no compressor one of the refrigrant repair guys who i work that is licensed for the r-12 **** said the compressor wont come on if thers no frion so i wanted to get some price quotes on what i have to do to charge up the system n if it would be better or cheaper to redo the r134a i bought that crap from advance auto but everyone said u have to change out all the o rings n **** before u put the new stuff in.

If the system is flat, (empty) you will need to find and fix the leak first. Most likely it's the evaporator. Then you can either evacuate the system and recharge with R-12 for around $300 ($100 per Lb.), or remove all the oil (good luck since the EPA outlawed R-11 
), replace the oil with Ester oil and recharge with R-134a. There is a chance this will shell out the compressor, if it's even good to begin with. I would take it to an AC specialist and get a quote; this is not a do-it-yourself project if you're not familiar with air conditioning.
