Unhappy Electrical problem?

Dear friends:

Yesterday i was replacing the bulb of the driver door of my 300D 2.5 Turbo when suddenly one wire touched the other one and i saw a small spark, nothing bad. The light doesnt work now, when i turn on the radio on the display says "E 2" and the seat belt sign on the roof starts blinking.
Does someone know whats going on?

Thank you very much.

I assume you checked all the fuses in the main box?

Maybe you can check out Becker's website about the E2 code:

Hope that helps a little

I did, and it caught it and cured it both times. It was in the pop-up.

1993 300D Rear Tail Lamp Issue

Question to all who may be able to help. On my 1993 300D my right rear taillamp bulb lights intermittantly and the "Sensor" on the dash lights orange. All other bulbs in the right rear taillight housing function properly. The bulb is good and I checked ohms between the 6 prong male housing wiring harness and the lamp and I am getting proper juice, so I assume the wire is good. Since all the other bulbs are functional, I assume that the wiring harness is good. Maybe moisture is getting into the taillamp housing and shorting that bulb out? Could there be an issue the the female side of the wiring harness? As, I said sometimes it lights, other times it will not...Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
