Opinions - best upgrade/dress up rim/tire size combo for '90 300E
What is the general opinion as to what is the best upgrade/dress up rim/tire size combo for a Black over Grey '90 300E with stock suspension? I'm looking to improve the looks over the stock 15" rim/tire without sacrificing the ride too much.

Yea, I did this earlier in the week. There are some really nice looking rides there. I don't really like the look of 19's and 20's on this car, unless it's lowered and has a body kit on it, and I don't plan to do either. Between 16's,17's and 18's it looks like 17's are the most prevalent, which may be just because there is a big jump in tire prices from 17" to 18".
I'm finding it very hard to decide what wheel style I think looks "best" on this body style. I've noticed that the wheel style selected makes a HUGE impact to the overall "look" of this particular series (The W124's).

Try to stay with a wheel design that was used on Mercs.
You might also try Discount Tire as they carry a line of affordable AMG replica wheels.
Ride quality will be totally dependent on your choice of tire.
Consider the Falken FK-452's for not only high performance, but quiet and smooth ride.
Remember the tire is the first "shock absorber" in the suspension system and the incorrect choice of an extremely high performance tire ( which you don't need) results in a harsh ride.
