Check Engine Light On when Brake Applied?

Check Engine Light On when Brake Applied?
Got an odd issue which I can't seem to figure out. The CEL goes off normal when I turn on my '92 400E, but it goes on whenever you apply and hold down the brake pedal. The light then stays on.

Any thoughts or experience? Couldn't seem to come up with something similar in search mode.

Just a thought, but is your cruise control working would of thought it would be related !

You're talking about the red light on the far right, not the amber light that looks like a light bulb, right?

The amber one came on whenever I hit the brake... turns out my brake light was out. Simple fix haha.

The red one, not the yellow "brake" one. Haven't used the cruise control in a while.

You need to have the stored codes pulled. The results may point to the culprit but I've never seen brake items listed in CEL tables.
