what is your target curb weight and Hp. I will be interested in the HP to weight ratio that you are going to be able to obtain.

Original hoods, trunk lids, doors, roofs, bumpers, fenders and doors add up to hundreds and hundreds of lbs. Carbon fiber, just grams.

Not to mention seats, floor boards, carpets, oem wheels, spare tires, miles of cables, motors, regulators, speakers, steering wheel....

I could keep going...

3.3 lbs per hp is crazy. A GM saturn sl with plastic panels and cardboard door panels weighs about 2400lbs. If you get 22oo lbs you will absolutely fly if you can keep the rear end under it.

Since we're on the topic... here's some photos of my E500 on digital scales. While it does have a little weight added (aftermarket stereo equipment), it also has some weight removed (middle muffler, factory phone, factory stereo amps). But yes, 4000 lbs for a stock 124.036 is dead on the money. The 3855 lb. curb weight (for USA-spec vehicles) appears to be with an empty tank of fuel, btw. Fully fueled and with me in the driver's seat, it's about 4200 lbs.

2200 lbs would be awesome.

That HP to lbs ratio is exactly like a Motorcycle that is what is intense about it. With the stance it looks like you are going to have it appears you are going to be very well balances. I assume you will not have a limited slip rear diff but once you get that thing up to speed and out of 2nd she just isn't going to want to slow down for anyone.
