1994 E320 Wagon
Hood shakes in wind

Hi
New member. Just bought a 94 e320 wagon with 66k miles. It's my third Benz. First was a 1989 300e, then a 1985 300TD. Still have the TD, but selling it now that I found this newer wagon.

When I drive on the highway, I see that the front lip of the hood on the driver side looks to be lifting slightly in the wind. It seems to be vibrating. I pulled over to make sure that it was latched properly and it is. The hood 'fits' properly in term of height and seam gap. What grabs the edges of the hood inside the car? Anyone ever experience this?

Neal

Hood only latches in the center.
You should have an adjustable stop or bumper at each side mounted on the engine bay/radiator cross member.
Try adjusting to see if it resolves your problem
