I'm just wondering how far I can go with the rear... 8.5@35 or 30 offset? I'm thinking 35, and get spacers to try it myself

Aaaall these years later...
Carlsson 1/6 and 1/6 Evo STILL unparalleled. Got original 1/6 17 inch on my 2000 CLK 320 in my driveway right now in 2013. But those Rial's are still so sweet, and IMPOSSIBLE to find.

I always preferred the AMG Type VI on the w124 like on my convertible below:
On the other hand I also like the more timely look of the Borbet type A i run on my winter car (300E 24V):
