yes thats true,in germany the vw guy s start to mount mb rims since 4 or 5 years ago.the stock mb rims looks good with thin tyres , polished or painted.but to fix it on the car you need adapters for the bolts.cauz the vw have 4x100m or 5 x100 mb rims 5 x112mm

Audi, Porsche, Corvette and JDM wheels. I think they've use just about any wheel on a VDub.

They don't look bad either, Chris.

Maybach too!

I come from a VDub past. My mk3 GTI VR had Audi TT's wheels on it for a while and a set of Porsche D-90's too.

The bottlecaps (as we call them) do look awesome on the Jetta...as do the others.

Hmmm..I have a set of 15" bottlecaps from my old 190E...wonder if I can fit them on one of my Sciroccos ? Never crossed my mind to do that.

I believe they are Shadow. 16x8 with either 195/40 or 205/40's stretched on them. looks killer, I think.

yeah, to the rocco owner! I had a '87 16V too. I traded my brother for the GTI. I regret ever trading him. He's a few pics of my old baby. I don't know of anybody that makes a 4x100 to 5x112 adapter thou!?

Yes, not sure of the model years on them 16x8 bottlecaps for the SLs but they were available in offset 34mm I see. There is also a very similar rim to the bottlecap listed for the SLs called "Monkar"...a 12 hole high sheen 16x8 rim et 34...B6 647 0095 is the part number. I can't believe how cool the Jetta looks with them old school rims !

Sciroccos (A1 chassis VWs) are way cool...had my 16V since new in 86' actually. They were all hand-built at the Karmann factory. Presently my 81S is apart and getting a 1.8Turbo motor from an Audi...should be around 250 hp in a 1600 lb car... certainly will be faster (well quicker) than my 500E when done ! My bud's 81 with a built 1.8T does a 12.7 1/4 miler...when he gets traction that is.

Those Brock rims on the white Rocco are the bomb too...don't get me started !! I must have 1000s of pictures of all manner Roccos over the years. ...but none (yet) with MB rims.

Your my hero. I will own another mk1 rocco someday soon and if it has a 1.8T in it. Even better. I sold a '79 a few years back cause I had no time or space for her. I'm bummed that I did. Here's the only pics I have of merc wheels on a mk1 and 2. I can't quite make out the style of the mk1's thou!?

yes but the 112mm bolt spacing they startet to use on the last passat generation also audi...
for older models like mk2 or 3.. you need adaptors.
here's a picture of my corrado vr6 with 18" carrera (996) wheels and 993 turbo brake kit:

Hero ...or do you mean Zero ? LOL. Me 81' ain't so dope on the outside but its got coilovers, cage, quaiffe, Recaros with 5 point harnesses, fuel cell etc. Here's the Mk1 after I pulled it out of the forest this august. I douched it and ripped all the sponsor stickers off it. Last time it ran was the 2001 Mt Washington Hill Climb....came in 45th place and its street legal, or was. I may leave it all ratty with the built 1.8T in it for the ultimate sleeper status...but I'm also trying to find and import the Berg Cup fender flare kit (by Zender) for it....then maybe I can put 8x16 8-hole rims from my 500E on it ! ! The bronze Mk1 you posted is sweet..very inspirational for me.

Yes, I'm on Vortex too...Jim's16V Scirocco is my screen name (put alot of thought into that name too )
