Thinking about a E soon
how are the w124's and 190E's in the snow??? i will be adding 4 new snow tires if i end up getting the car. when should the timing belt be replaced??? since most of these cars are past 100K i dont want to buy something with high mileage and having to worry about replacing the timing soon b/c its money....
thanx in advance guys!

300E's and 190E are two different models, what you're interested in is a w124
Get a 300E (again, get a wagon!), they are pretty reliable...better still if you're handy with a wrench!
EDIT: Do not get a 4matic, not unless it has been kept up to SPEC by MB!

- Main Engine Wiring Harness (disintegrates)
- Throttle body harness (disintegrates)
- Evaporator (failure of A/C)
- Head gasket (you know what this means lol)
Pretty costly, but if you find a low price w124 with this all taken care of, you will be about $8,000 richer in the long run.
i guess i will be checking ebay and such for prices on these cars
