You know what I have this problem and i need a cup holder too. I was thinking of making one out of mdf wood to fit between the seats. Anyone else up for a cup holder for the middle?

Let's all design one up. I'll get some cardboard and cut up a model tomorrow.

I made this for a 65 mustang to install a pioneer flip up monitor and put some gauges in the front.

I really don't want to screw anything into any of the door panels and i think making a center console would be better because it would be removable.

I bought a second one of these at Canadian Tire this week, one for each front seat passenger...they are sturdy, work well and the silver finish matches my interior and steering wheel. Also can double as a glasses/cellphone holder

There is no need for cup holders. There is a reason they were not in the car in the first place.

A. You should only be focused on driving, and nothing else
B. You should not eat or drink in the car

The reason they have them now is because in the 90's the Japanese car companies started to try to compete with the Euros and they had cup holders. Americans complained that the Euros didn't have cup holders.

p.s. I was just bustin' ***** not really serious. The car does have a cup holder in the glove box

Im thinking about taking a few peices of wood and cutting something out to stick in the middle console area.
Nothing fancy, prolly guna wrap it in leather and foam the insides, if i ever get around to it ill post some pics/designs/prices.

That's what i said in my other post..

Anyways, let's all of us design one and see how much it costs compared to those $79 dollar cup holders...

Lovelee: That's what I used to tell my whiney passengers then when I got MY cupholder people would ask me to put THEIR drink there. Eff that, lol now they have their own...away from the electronics...

Mine stopped working. I suppose troubleshooting the problem is the same as adding the item? Dealer said mine is out of warranty and $1300 to repair. 2018 GLE at 70K miles. I figure it is a loose wire or something easy to fix vice having to retrofit the whole thing.
