no spring pads?

Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone runs the car with no spring pads at all?
I am on bump 1 at the front and bump 2 at the rear
Before that I was on bump 3 all around
FYI, I have the H&R + Bilstein Sport combo.
The car isn't low enough for my liking. I want the fenders to sit right at the top of the tires (perhaps tucking an inch off the front tires) however I am 101% against sagging at the rear.
Any ideas as to what I can do to achieve it? I am also not so fond of cutting the springs.

Just another quick Q. My car scratches its underside (the resonator I think) sometimes when I go into some multistorey car parks. Does this happen to you all lowered-124 owners? This is bugging me as I am forced to leave the car at the streets when I'd rather have the security of a car park..

Sorry for the pics with crappy steelies. AMGs off for work!

you can always have the fender rolled out.

We have some friends running w/o the rubber spring seat to achieve a much lower profile however if I can suggest you try to insert a rubber hose around the the first 1 1/2 turn of the coil spring in order to avoid any metal-to-metal contact.

Cheers everyone
Sounds like I'll just wrap a hose around the first coil or two like 108 said.
Hopefully it won't go too low
Does anyone know how thick the bump 1 pads are?

LOL. Now everyone's gona run around without spring pads!
I've actually driven a friend's CLK430 with no spring pads but on stock springs and shockers. It drove terribly but it does look slammed
He ended up getting Bilstein Sports and H&R though

Will it really hamper handling performance?

I would say, depends what suspension you are on. If you have Bilstein Sports and H&Rs or something similar, then I would not worry about it hampering handling. However, if you are on stockies, it might at least screw up your ride quality. After all the stock shocks are not designed to run so low. You are basically pre-compressing the shock and the more you do that, the harder the shocks are. Hard to make sense on this one but to cut it short, my friend's CLK rode like it had H&Rs, but drove like it had springs from a Corolla (or whatever you people call it in the US)
