lots of cars
pshh, I could build quality sound systems and cars but i'm stuck selling mattresses and futons. I've been to audio shops where they've never heard of any of the brands mentioned.

You know sometimes having the most expensive or biggest speakers doesn't get the best spl or sq. It's funny but i've put 6 12" Hitron 500w bootleg speakers with 2 power acoustic g1800 series amps and it sounded pretty good. I never used mtx subs or amps but I did start with the punch power DVC which was one of my first subs. I then upgraded to the Cerwin Vega Stroker back in 2000 when i was in high school......

As for the SQ scene when i see prices of focal, a/d/s ,Audison ,Zapco , McIntosh I just stay away because i can't afford it.

Right now I have some stuff for sale..polk audio ex3 components and a tsunami db4440 which is the same as the avionixx model. I really want to install them on my car but it's just that right now my car is a POS..lol...

haha well...it seems i'll have to get a new camera soon

over the holidays i installed my 2 15" kicker L7's...wired down to 1 ohm from a hifonics 2000w mono. 0 gauge all the way back...also, this helped alot. I removed my rear speakers and left the grilles on so i could have more bass come into the cabin. i took it to the local audio shop today, and hit 143.6 in a song...still have to test my burps..

i'll have to say kicker, re, dd, and hifonics are the number one rated loudest/more abusable subs around...but it's all personal opinion on what's best i guess

meh for me i can not stand that sub crap. to me there is nothing more useless then spending cash for such crap. i go for good sound only tone and clarity only and very little thump. i am not really in to this pimp crap same for overly big rims. TVs in the car they just all seem useless to me i got for more lade back easy to use stuff or things that are useful ..............okay the body kit dose not help the car in any way it just looks cool it is just me. maybe if i get a another car i would do this. as for my benz i just want to make it to my standards. i find this odd becuz i love lowriders

Good luck
Rio - SAMM is absolutely right; if you're going to do it, just make sure you do it properly.... If I were you I'd save up 3-4x the cost of the kit to make sure I cover the cost of proper installation & painting.

You could definitely run some seriously wide rubber with those arches.

Also, I would bet that if you were to put that kit on the car & do it properly, most of the people here would still be drawn to it at an event....

Just make sure your car runs well before you do anything - looking good means nothing when you're broken down on the hard shoulder.

agreed...tv's are useless, unless in the dash, or for passengers. and as for your love for lowriders...i'm confused man. when people think of a lowrider...most impressions are hydraulics, and subwoofers. it's cool that you like good sq and all, but sq isnt all in your highs. i mean, even with my subs, i have all 4 polk momo's amped...

and most up to date head units have a sw (subwoofer) button...you can adjust it...so if i want to be a pimp, i'll turn em up. on the other hand, if i want to have good "clarity and tone" i'll turn it down...

and so far, i've won about 500 dollars in local comps...and no, not bass, overall sound quality. sorry to be an *******

I need to get back into building systems but i've even stopped building mustangs because i'm just soooo tired and busy with my business. The hard part is that in So Cal there is soooooooo much money into comps and you're only as good as your competiton. I guess I need to set up something and get into the SQ and see what I can do.

sorry i want on a rant im have been very worn out and pissed off a lot. yes i know what you mean but i do not like a lot of subs i see most of the ones i find take up way to much room...........and i kinda need my trunk for stuff to put in it..... O_O
on the other hand my trunk has room to mold in the subs and still leave room for stuff. i use my trunk to trans port band stuff for me or my friends i have my bass guitar and amp in my trunk right now

the down side is that this wide body kit clips on to the fenders so there is no room for wide rims. i love the look of deep dish rims. i think i will go with 18s in back and 17 up front. from the looks on most W124s they seem to sit a little high in back. as for the kit i will be buying it before any work is done like paint but will hold off for when i put a better motor in it to do the paint and molding work. during that time i will be fitting and checking to see if it fits right and write detail notes of placement and fitting. as for the dash in my car i will rip it out and try my hand at fiberglass work. fiber glass work looks very easy from what i have been seeing and reading up on. if i botch it i will to feel to bad becuz i can put the old dash back in. un tell i find a nicer one.i wish to try my hand at molding speakers in to the door if i am any good at the fiberglass work. if not hold off and save up to dump cash in for that. i do plan to do as good of work as i can on this car and not leave out any thing. also i am taking out the AC
i dont need that when i have the windows. in its place i will put oil water and transmission temperature gauges.............way down the road i hope to find a 5 speed trans for the car ........i am working on a skull shift stick for my car right now it should fit if i can get the cheep rubber top off the one in the car and slide this one in its place.
