rear sunshade
Hello
I know some of you disagree to install the sunshade, but I decided to go for it.
Now I have it, but have no clue how to install it. Some even say I would need a new board. Others say that there are holes already pre-drilled for easy upgrade.
Well, how ever.
Does anybody of you know to install it properly; incl. laying the wires to the front center panel where the switch belongs?

Please keep me informed if you get replies on this. I want to do the same thing on a w126.
I have a power aftermarket unit(German Mfg.), just have not seen anything regarding anyone installing one.

Hmmm...where are you located? USA 500Es came standard with the power rear sunshades.
I am just guessing but the wiring may already be there for it. For sure you will need a new 'hat tray' in the rear that accepts the shade mechanism and I hope you interior is black b/c the other colors are hard to find new. I do know the biege is NLA. I will ask my friend in Holland who deals with buying/fixing 500Es...perhaps he knows how hard it is to fit one. Stay tuned.
